About Us
Bangalore University has Post Graduate Center in Kolar commencing from the Academic year 1995-96.
In view of the Establishment of the PG Centre at Kolar, the University has framed the draft statutes called “Statutes for Establishing a Post Graduate center in the city of Kolar for Instituting required Teaching and Non-Teaching posts” and got the approval of the University Syndicate on 19-09-1995, Academic council on 21-09-1995 and the Senate on 28-09-1995 and 11-10-1995.
The draft statutes as approved by the above University is sent here with to Government to obtain the kind consent of the Chancellor.

Eligibility
M.A. in Kannada: Graduates who have secured 40% in the aggregate of all subjects and 50% marks in the cognate subject in the qualifying University examinations are eligible to apply. Candidates with B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Degrees are eligible to apply provided they have scored 55% in the Language concerned in the degree course with Kannada Rathna or Pandit.

M.A. in Economics: Candidates who have secured 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects and 50% marks in the cognate subject at the Bachelors degree level.

M.Com: A candidate who has passed the B.Com/B.B.M. Degree Examination of this University or of any other University recognized thereto and has secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in Commerce.
